TurnCAM® – Simple and Intelligent
The TurnCAM® turning assistant is ideally suited for installation on buses, trucks, and special vehicles such as garbage collection vehicles. The turning assistant consists of a dedicated 180° wide-angle camera, a detection box, a monitoring monitor for visual warnings, and a small loudspeaker (buzzer) for acoustic warnings. Activation signals are sent via a speed signal or steering angle sensor. Control via GPS signal is also possible. All TurnCAM® turning assistants have a General Operating Permit (ABE) valid throughout Europe and meet the technical requirements of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (BMVI) for turning assistance systems.

Reliable and low-maintenance: TurnCAM®
The TurnCAM® turn assist system consists of several reliable components. A specially developed wide-angle camera is mounted on the right side of the vehicle and records a close-up view of the area around the vehicle. It detects any moving objects in the danger zone.
The Detection Box, equipped with advanced software, reliably detects cyclists, pedestrians, and moving objects with the highest accuracy.
The situation is easily visible on the monitor, and the acoustic signal is only triggered in specific situations.
Therefore, the system is much less complex than other systems and thus less prone to maintenance and errors; moreover, thanks to continuously developed software, it will always remain up-to-date in the future. In addition, its relatively simple installation reduces your costs.

1-Dual Camera
The dual cameras continuously capture the vehicle environment in real time from two different camera perspectives.
2-TurnCam-AI
TurnCAM-AI recognizes specific hazardous traffic situations and, thanks to artificial intelligence technology, classifies them as harmless or alarm-related.
3-Warning Function
In case of danger, the TurnCAM-AI lap assistant reacts immediately and warns the driver with a visual and acoustic signal.
4-Solution
The driver is alerted by the alarm system and can intervene depending on the situation. A dangerous situation is transformed into a harmless one.
Link to Vehicle Data
The Detection Box features a detection function for the side camera and intelligent image processing. It controls the vehicle display, which shows visual warnings in case of danger and can also be used as a rear-view monitor. The additional acoustic warning function can be activated and deactivated via a small speaker, using turn signals or other GPIO signals.
Optionally, extension of the speed/tachometer signal, connection to a door signal for buses, and connection to an analog steering angle sensor are also possible. As a result, the acoustic signal is only heard in truly critical situations, not every time bicycles pass. This ensures the driver’s attention is drawn to the warning.
